Portioning a 600mg rice treat

Crispy rice edibles at 600mg are not a one-sitting snack. If the package is a single bar, cut it into even squares with a sharp knife before you start, so each piece holds a predictable share. Twelve equal squares, for example, works out to roughly 50mg each, which is still strong for many people.

Start with the smallest piece you can cut, and wait. Wrap the rest of the squares individually and label them so nobody in the house mistakes them for a regular snack.

Edibles are slow. Health Canada notes that effects from eaten cannabis can start anywhere from 30 minutes to 2 hours after eating and can last up to 24 hours. Wait at least two hours before even thinking about more, do not drive, and do not mix with alcohol.

Who it suits, and who should skip it

It suits adults with a solid edible tolerance who like a sweet, crunchy treat. Skip it if you are new to edibles, are pregnant or breastfeeding, or take medication, and ask a doctor or pharmacist about any health question.
