Export A Full Flavor product facts

• Brand: Export A
• Variety: Full Flavour, sold as a Canadian blend
• Product: tobacco cigarettes
• Contains: tobacco and nicotine, no THC or CBD
• For: adults 18 and over only

Who makes Export A cigarettes?

Export A is made by JTI-Macdonald, the Canadian arm of Japan Tobacco International. The brand goes back nearly a century to Macdonald Tobacco, whose boxes were marked “Export”, which is how the name stuck. And yes, they still make Export A cigarettes: it is a current brand, and this pack is on our shelf.

“Canadian blend” is the name printed on the pack. The manufacturer does not publish the blend recipe, so we do not describe it beyond that.

Export A cigarette types in Canada

Many smokers know Export A types by pack colour. According to the brand’s public Wikipedia entry, the Canadian line has included:

• Plain / Full Flavour: green (the variety on this page)
• Medium: dark blue
• Rich: red (once sold as Mild, a word no longer allowed on Canadian cigarette packs)
• Smooth: gold
• Extra Smooth: silver
• Fine: light blue

So if you are asking what Export A green is called now, it is the Full Flavour. If you asked for Export A blue, tell us whether you mean the dark blue Medium or the light blue Fine and we will check what we have. Shelf availability changes, so call before you drive in for a specific pack.

These names describe the blend, not risk. Canada’s Prohibited Terms regulations ban the words “light” and “mild” on cigarettes, as Health Canada’s tobacco regulations page explains, and no variety is a safer choice.

Which Export A is strongest?

“Full Flavour” describes a fuller taste and draw, but we have no strength ranking from the manufacturer that we can quote, so we will not rank them. Every variety contains nicotine, which is addictive.

Health and age

Smoking carries well-documented health risks. We make no health claims about any tobacco product. If you are thinking about cutting down or quitting, a licensed practitioner or pharmacist can help.

Who should skip them: anyone under 18, non-smokers, and anyone who is pregnant or breastfeeding.
