A hot drink feels casual, which is exactly why people overdo it. THC you swallow is absorbed slowly. Health Canada notes that ingested cannabis can take 30 minutes to 2 hours to start working and up to 4 hours for full effects, and suggests newer users look for 2.5mg of THC or less (Health Canada).

100mg is many times that. Our team’s advice: make it, pour a small portion, and save the rest. Sip slowly, wait the full window, and don’t top up because the first cup “did nothing.”
