Boom Edibles Rick Simpson Oil is a syringe of thick whole-plant cannabis extract listed at 700mg of THC and 20mg of CBD. It is a highly concentrated product, meant for experienced cannabis users who measure carefully.

Why the numbers matter

Health Canada suggests people new to edibles start with products containing 2.5mg of THC or less. At 700mg per syringe, 2.5mg is less than one two-hundredth of the contents, far too small to measure reliably by eye. That is why we do not recommend this syringe to anyone new to edibles or RSO.

If you are experienced and already know your dose, follow the package directions:

• Measure the smallest amount you can, on a spoon or a little food, then swallow
• Wait before deciding on more; Health Canada notes edibles can take up to 4 hours to reach full effect
• Keep a note of the amount and how it felt
• Never drive after taking it, and avoid alcohol

If the syringe is stiff, warming it in your hand for a minute makes it easier to push. Do not microwave it.

Syringe or capsules?

A syringe lets you choose a very small amount, but it takes practice to be consistent. Capsules are pre-measured. If you are experienced and want the same amount every time, look at the RSO Capsules Indica 20mg instead; at 20mg per capsule they are also not a beginner product.
