Pointe-Calumet Cannabis: Your Neighbourhood Dispensary Is 10 Minutes Away at Bear’s Den

If you are looking for a Pointe-Calumet dispensary, Bear’s Den Cannabis is the Indigenous-women-owned shop just up Route 344, at 1510B Rang Ste-Philomène in Kanesatake, past the village of Oka. We are not in Pointe-Calumet and we do not deliver there, but for people on this stretch of the lake we are a short drive along the water. We are one store, open since 2018, with fair everyday pricing and a team that is happy to talk you through the menu.

Getting here from Pointe-Calumet

This is the easiest drive on our list. From Pointe-Calumet, follow Route 344 (Chemin d’Oka) west along Lac des Deux Montagnes and through the village of Oka. West of the village, Route 344 becomes Rang Ste-Philomène, and our shop is on it. There are no highways to deal with, just the lake road.

Plan on roughly 20 to 25 minutes from Pointe-Calumet or Saint-Joseph-du-Lac, and about half an hour from Sainte-Marthe-sur-le-Lac or Deux-Montagnes. Parking is free at our door. Get directions from Pointe-Calumet to Bear’s Den.

Want more on the shop itself and the Oka area? Our Kanesatake dispensary page covers it.

What Pointe-Calumet shoppers come in for

Pre-rolls, ready to go

In a lakeside town, ready-to-go matters. Our pre-rolls and infused pre-rolls are an easy pick for people heading home to the deck or a cottage. Ask our team which ones fit your experience level.

Disposable vapes

Our disposable vapes come ready to use out of the box, with nothing to fill or swap. If you are new to vaping, start with one or two small puffs and wait.

Edibles

Our cannabis edibles include gummies, chocolate and cookies. They take longer to kick in than smoking, so start low and give them time. For any health question, please speak with a licensed practitioner.

A note for beach days: Quebec bans smoking or vaping cannabis in all indoor and outdoor spaces open to the public, including public roads, so public beaches and parks are off limits for it. You can browse the full Bear’s Den menu, including flower, hash, concentrates and CBD, before you head over.

Why we think lakeshore shoppers should try Bear’s Den

The SQDC, Quebec’s government cannabis retailer, has a branch in nearby Saint-Eustache. What we offer is different: an Indigenous-women-owned shop, fair everyday pricing, a broad menu in one place, and staff who ask what you want instead of upselling. A short drive along the water makes it an easy habit.

The legal picture, told straight

In Quebec, the SQDC is the only government-authorized cannabis retailer. Under Quebec’s cannabis rules, the minimum age is 21, the public possession limit is 30 grams of dried cannabis or its equivalent, home cultivation is prohibited, and public consumption is restricted. Quebec also has zero tolerance for driving with any detectable cannabis in your saliva.

Bear’s Den operates outside that provincial system, under asserted Indigenous-sovereignty principles on Sovereign Kanesatake Mohawk Territory. That is our own position. We are not the SQDC, we are not part of its framework, and we do not speak for federal or provincial authorities. Please never drive high, even on a short trip back along the lake.
