Pincourt Cannabis: Why Île-Perrot Shoppers Drive North to Bear’s Den Instead of Into the City

If you are looking for a Pincourt dispensary or cannabis near Île-Perrot, Bear’s Den Cannabis is the Indigenous-women-owned shop at 1510B Rang Ste-Philomène in Kanesatake, near Oka, on the north shore of Lac des Deux Montagnes. We are not in Pincourt and we do not deliver there. We are one store, open since 2018, with a broad menu, fair everyday pricing and a team that never rushes you.

Getting here from Pincourt and Île-Perrot

We sit across the lake from Île-Perrot, but there is no bridge straight over, so the road trip goes around through Montreal’s north side. From Pincourt, take Autoroute 20 east off the island, continue east on Autoroute 20 or Autoroute 40 to Autoroute 13 north, then take Autoroute 640 west to its end and Route 344 west into Oka. West of Oka village, Route 344 becomes Rang Ste-Philomène, and our shop is on it.

By road, plan on roughly an hour and a quarter from Pincourt, and a little more from Notre-Dame-de-l’Île-Perrot or Terrasse-Vaudreuil, longer at rush hour. Parking is free, right at our door. Get directions from Pincourt to Bear’s Den.

The Oka-Hudson ferry shortcut

When it is running, the seasonal Oka-Hudson car ferry cuts the trip down a lot. Pincourt drivers head west on Autoroutes 20, 30 and 40 to Hudson, which takes about 20 minutes, cross the lake, and are at our door a few minutes after landing in Oka, for a total of roughly 50 minutes to an hour including the wait. This season the ferry started late, in early August, on a reduced schedule, and it closes for the winter, so check the operator’s current schedule before you plan around it. Our Hudson page covers that side of the lake.

What Pincourt shoppers come in for

THC drinks, for the “cannabis coffee” crowd

If you were hoping for a THC coffee shop, to be clear, we are a retail counter, not a café. What we do carry is a small range of cannabis beverages, which right now are infused hot chocolate mixes you take home and make in your own cup. Drinks take longer to kick in than smoking, so start with a small serving and give it time.

Edibles

Our cannabis edibles include gummies, chocolate, cookies and snacks in low and higher strengths. Our team will help you pick a sensible first serving. For any health question, please speak with a licensed practitioner.

Flower, vapes, hash and the full menu

We also carry indica, sativa and hybrid flower, pre-rolls and infused pre-rolls, vape pens and disposables, hash, concentrates and CBD. Browse the full Bear’s Den menu before you leave the island, so the trip is worth it.

SQDC near Île-Perrot, and why we think the drive is worth it

Many Pincourt residents search for an SQDC on Île-Perrot. The SQDC is Quebec’s government cannabis retailer, and its own store finder is the place to check which branches are nearest and their hours.

What we offer is different: edibles, hot chocolate mixes, hash and vapes alongside flower in one stop, fair everyday pricing, an Indigenous-women-owned shop, and staff who take the time to ask what you actually want. We think that is worth the drive around the lake.

The legal picture, told straight

In Quebec, the SQDC is the only government-authorized cannabis retailer. Under Quebec’s cannabis rules, the minimum age is 21, the public possession limit is 30 grams of dried cannabis or its equivalent, and home cultivation is prohibited. Quebec also has zero tolerance for driving with any detectable cannabis in your saliva.

Bear’s Den operates outside that provincial system, under asserted Indigenous-sovereignty principles on Sovereign Kanesatake Mohawk Territory. That is our own position. We are not the SQDC, we are not part of its framework, and we do not speak for federal or provincial authorities. Please never drive high, and plan a sober driver for the trip home to Île-Perrot.
